This month, we welcome Krista Goebel of Colors of a Flower to our space for her very first public display. Krista's pieces may look like paintings, but if you look very closely, you'll see that they are actually drawings! Krista specializes in slow, detailed colored pencil drawings that typically take her upwards of 100 hours to complete. Her work is inspired by nature and place - mostly by the awesome sites of the Pacific Northwest, where she's lived since 2020, but you'll also see some work inspired by her years in Western Massachusetts and Philly. No matter the subject, Krista wants her work to evoke the color and vibrancy of flowers, hence her shop name, Colors of a Flower. More recently, Krista has been doing some work in watercolor as well.
All pieces are available for viewing during regular business hours.
Rain or Shine Coffee House proudly features local artists throughout the year. Artwork is displayed in our café and available for guests to enjoy and purchase while gathering, studying, and connecting with the community.
